1. Absences:
a) Make-up work will be distributed and explained to students returning from an absence at the start of each class. Students have one class day to turn in the make-up work for full credit. Furthermore, students have five school days and two additional attempts from the day the original assignment is posted to redo an assignment or retake a test where a grade of 70 was not earned. All redos will be averaged with the original score and entered as the final grade for the assignment.
b) Students are required to read and follow all powerpoint slides for the unit number missed to ensure all steps are followed to complete the lesson. Power points are located in Schoology. The class assignments tab on the course website also provides a snapshot of the lesson activities completed each day.
2. Late Work:
a) A grade of 0 will be recorded in the grade book for failure to turn in a graded assignment. Students have 5 days and two attempts to submit the assignment for credit and the original score of 0 will be averaged with the late submission. (Refer to 1b shown above).
3. Submission of Class Assignments:
a) Students are required to write their first and last name, date, and class period in the upper-right corner of papers turned in for grading.
b) Label the unit number (at a minimum) and title of the assignment on the top-center of each paper. Staple papers together if there are multiple pages of the same assignment.
c) Unless working in pairs or small groups as authorized by the teacher, students are required to produce their own work. Copying another student's work or cheating on an assignment will result in a 0 with no redo opportunity.
d). For electronic assignments, ensure the assignment, quiz, or test is submitted before leaving the classroom.
